SLIPStream August 2018
Reminder | Improved Landgate data through SLIP
In the last edition of SLIPStream we told you about the improvements that Landgate is making to how data is delivered through SLIP. These changes were made based on your feedback and to better align with recent changes to geospatial data and Landgate’s business systems.
The new layers are published, with the exception of some SLIP public services and the LandInfo WA subscription package.
A reminder that if you have SLIP data integrated into your business systems, you have until 30 September 2018 to consider and incorporate the changes. Existing layers will still be available in parallel until 30 September 2018, and after this date, the layers will be retired.
The data and services affected are:
- Administrative boundaries (released)
- Cadastre (released)
- Crown reserves (released)
- Property street address (released)
- Tenure (released)
- some SLIP public services.
Please refer to the Landgate data changes page on DataWA for further information. Be sure to check out the new data dictionaries and change comparison logs that detail the relevant changes, as they become available.
Please note that some layers within the existing services won't be migrated and they will be retired from SLIP. However, there will be no change to the data update cycle until these layers are retired at the end of September 2018.
