Landgate sponsored the 2012 Perth Rotary Ramble, providing 10,000 maps for the event on Sunday 21 October, which raised money for Telethon and Australian Rotary Health. The Western Australian Registrar and Commissioner of Titles Joint Practice: Verification of Identity (VOI), dated 20 June 2012 and referred to here as the 'Practice', commenced on 1 July 2012 with a six month transitional implementation period. Full compliance with the Practice is expected on specified documents lodged on and from 2 January 2013. Read more about the Practice.

Landgate recently completed its first five years of operation as a statutory authority under its enabling legislation – the Land Information Authority Act 2006. Landgate is required to review the effectiveness of the Act's operations at the end of every five year period. Read more about the review.
