Review of strata manager educational qualification requirements
Landgate is currently reviewing the educational qualification requirements for individuals working in the strata management industry. This review has been triggered by changes made at a national level to the Certificate IV in Strata Community Management (Certificate IV). These changes have made it impossible for some people working in the strata management industry to meet the educational qualification requirements of the Strata Titles (General) Regulations 2019 (STGR).

This review is focussed on implementing a new model for educational qualifications that:
- accommodates the changes to the Certificate IV
- future proofs the STGR against future changes to the Certificate IV
- addresses industry feedback in relation to the current educational requirements being confusing and not reflective of industry terminology and business structures.
Landgate has worked with industry groups to develop a new educational qualification model for the strata management industry. Landgate is now seeking public and industry feedback on the proposed model through a consultation paper.
The consultation paper provides background information, an outline of the purpose of the paper, an overview of the proposed model and asks a series of questions to generate feedback.
The feedback received from the consultation paper will help determine whether the proposed model suits the needs of those who either live in or own a lot in a strata title scheme and the strata management industry. Landgate will use this feedback to inform the amendments that are required to the STGR.
