The Western Australian Freedom of Information Act 1992 gives the public a legal right of access to documents held by all state and local government agencies.

Information statement

In compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 1992 and to help the public find the information they need, Landgate publishes an information statement on an annual basis.

Our information statement includes:

  • Our structure, functions and values
  • Our legislation
  • Our decision making functions and participation of the community
  • Documents held by the agency
  • FOI procedures and access arrangements.

Information enquiries

Requests for access to documents should be made, in the first instance, to customer service officers at our public counter. Often material may be made available without the need to formalise a request under Freedom of Information (FOI).

A formal FOI application is required to access documents that are not available as part of the normal course of business.
