Statutory review of the Land Information Authority Act 2006

The Minister for Lands engaged an independent reviewer, Nicole Lockwood, to conduct the statutory review of Landgate’s enabling legislation, the Land Information Authority Act 2006 earlier this year. The review included extensive engagement with external stakeholders across government and the private sector to assess the effectiveness of Landgate in delivery of its core services. The review also involved analysis of Landgate’s journey over the last five years and the context in which Landgate has operated, including external property market factors and advances in technology which have improved the way Landgate does business.

The final review report was tabled in Parliament by the Minister for Lands on 29 November 2017, finding Landgate to be effective in its operations, having delivered value to the state through the provision of services relating to land information in Western Australia. View the 2017 review report.
