Curtin University Research Grant Guidelines

One grant will be allocated to one Curtin University project run through Innovation Central Perth. Innovation Central Perth (ICP) is an industry and science collaboration centre located at Curtin University, with the vision of advancing digital transformation through an open innovation ecosystem. ICP will work with businesses and researchers to support project scoping prior to grant application submission.

The grant is open to:

  • Curtin University research projects

To be an eligible applicant you will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. be a student at Curtin University or a Curtin University researcher/academic
  2. have location data as part of your research
  3. your research contributes to one or more of the following areas:
    • data management and modelling
    • information sharing and collaboration
    • improved operational efficiency (e.g. process automation)
    • emerging digital technologies (e.g. digital twin or smart city capability)

If you are shortlisted, you will need to pitch your idea in person. Successful applicants from the pitch event will be required to attend information sessions in WA.
