Land data
Landgate data is available in different formats to suit most business systems. It is now available in both GDA2020 and GDA94 datum. Our land data is widely used across government and industry to solve a range of challenges. Landgate is responsible for maintaining and distributing fundamental land datasets, many of these are now available in the Shared Location Information Platform (SLIP). Prices charged to local and State Government organisations (and those acting in their interest) are legislated under the Land Information Act 2006 and all data is supplied under a licence.
We have a series of standard licences covering the supply of Landgate data for use within a customer's business and for those wishing to operate as a commercial partner. Descriptions and samples of our licences are available.
Administrative areas
The Administrative Areas dataset is a digital representation of areas within the State that are administered or managed under relevant legislation by a delegated authority.
Cadastral data
Contains land parcel boundaries for all freehold and Crown land within Western Australia including lodged cadastral, administrative, control marks and easements.
Integrated Cad/Ten/PSA
Provides ownership information on freehold and Crown land in Western Australia, integrated with full property street addressing and cadastral data.
Geographic Names data
Geographic Names data is extracted from the official nomenclature database (Geonoma) for the State of WA and is maintained by Landgate.
Reserve data
Reserve data provides detailed information relating to Crown Reserves in Western Australia. Crown Reserves area managed by the designated management authority/agency on behalf of the State.
Road centreline
Derived from Landgate’s topographic dataset and covers the whole State. All new roads are named and captured from a survey plan at the time of lodgement and stored in the road centreline dataset.
Street address data
Landgate maintains property street addresses with input from local government authorities responsible for allocating street addresses. Information is captured for both urban and rural properties.
Tenure data
Provides ownership information on freehold and Crown land in Western Australia. Tenure data is gathered from registered transfer of land documents as part of the registration process.
Topographic data
Medium and large scale topographic datasets. Medium-scale whole of state coverage, large-scale coverage in Perth metropolitan area and major regional centres with specific project areas.
Digital Elevation Models (DEMs)
Derived from Landgate’s aerial imagery ortho-rectification process, DEM data are available for over 80% of Western Australia at grid intervals of between 1m & 20m, depending on the source resolution.
LiDAR Data
Catalogue of available LiDAR (elevation data) acquisitions that have been captured at various resolutions and locations across WA since 2017.
